Rhodes Town , Lindos Acropolis & Butterflies Valley
This is a longer tour, including the standard tour, plus more time in the Medieval – Town, so you may visit the Grand Master Palace. Entrance fee is approx 5 euro per person, on Mondays it opens after 12 o clock.
There will also be more time in Lindos and a break for lunch at a restaurant on the Mediterranean Sea, with a beautiful panoramic view. On the way back we drive through the island, from the East to the West coast, the road passes through villages and densely wooded areas, where we will come to the Valley of the Butterflies.
This site is beautiful, but especially from June to September when thousands of multi-coloured butterflies appear. You can have a look for 10-15 min, but if you want to pass through the “Valley of the Butterflies” it takes approximately 30 mins to walk. Entrance fee is approx. 5 euro per person.
We continue on the west coast, and after driving upwards for 3 miles reach the top of Filerimos Mountain this has a marvellous panoramic view… We come to the ruins of the acropolis of the ancient lalussos, and here we have one of the best panoramic views of Ixia, one of the biggest tourist resorts in Rhodes.
Then back to RhodesTown.
Upon returning to Rhodes Town, you may choose to be dropped off to your hotel, or to your cruise ship, or near the city gates of the Old Town for independent browsing.
